Tarlee Funnel Neck
Every month Leila and I release a pattern bonus to our Insider and Maker level Patreon supporters! I love this perk because it means that every month Leila’s making great pattern add-ons that can extend the versatility of my T’n’T patterns! The March Patreon Pattern Bonus from Muna and Broad is a funnel neck add-on for our Tarlee T-Shirt pattern!
When I was trying to style photos of my wool Birchgrove Pants, I decided that a purple merino would work well and would conveniently fit in with my colour scheme (plum being one of the accent colours)!

Marsala Tapered Birchgrove Pants
This was the exact outfit that I was imagining when I planned on making these Birchgrove Pants. This crumpled linen Waikerie Shirt is one of my most-worn makes (and my first shirt too), and it was the fabric which was my gateway back into pink!

Sunday Plus-Size Pattern Roundup #43
The weekly plus-size sewing pattern roundup this week coincided with the launch of our latest pattern from Leila and me through Muna and Broad, the Birchgrove Pants! This inspired me to take a ‘fancy’ angle for the pattern roundup today!

The Birchgrove Pants are available from 41.5-71.5″ (105-182cm) Hip, there’s technically no upper size limit since Leila will grade the pants to your size if our chart is too small to include you.

Wool Birchgrove Pants
The Birchgrove Pants are the latest pattern from Leila and me through Muna and Broad. We set out to make our most tapered pants yet, while still ensuring an excellent fit for fat bodies. These pants have even more room through the undercarriage than our previous pants, which helps to counteract the ‘hungry bum’ problem that I often had with pants. We designed the pockets so that they’d be gape free’, and I’ve been really excited to get these out in the world!

Trying to pin down a colour scheme!
I’ve been sharing a lot on the Muna and Broad Patreon about colour theory and colours in wardrobes, as I try to get myself to a point where I have a high hit rate with my makes. Cutting down on makes that don’t feel like a success, will save me lots of time, money and heartache. I’d love to work out what exactly it is that I love my most-worn garments, and why I don’t reach for others so I can feel confident that something will work well BEFORE I make it!

Thinking about wardrobe success
Of course, wardrobe success isn’t just about colour- I’ve been thinking a lot about why some combinations work, why do I struggle to get dressed for fancy occasions, what makes a successful casual outfit.

Belmore M&B Capsule
Although I know I’ll never have a capsule wardrobe, I like to break my wardrobe down into mini-collections. I like to think that if/when we get back to international travel, I’ll have my wardrobe down pat and will easily be able to put together a comfortable travel wardrobe which all pair with each other.
To that end, I’ve put together a little 7-piece capsule wardrobe of Muna and Broad Patterns, all of which I’m very happy to pair with my chambray Belmore Jacket!

Sunday Plus-Size Pattern Roundup #41
Welcome to #41 in my weekly plus-size pattern roundup! This week, I imagined a work-wear, or gardening-look vibe when putting together the roundup.
That’s not to say that I necessarily think that these particular bibs or overalls would be especially practical for outdoor uses, but a bit like cottage-core they have the vibe of outdoor activities!
Number 1, Belmore Jacket

The Belmore Jacket from Muna and Broad is available up to a 71.5″ hip
As always, M&B will grade this pattern up at no extra cost if the pattern is too small to include you.

Quilted jacquard Belmore
I finally cut into this precious fabric from my stash, once I’d decided that the new Muna and Broad Belmore Jacket was the pattern for me!
Now, this fabric is the Merchant & Mills jacquard fabric that you might have spotted online. It’s precious because it was so frightfully expensive. I didn’t love it when it arrived, and I did consider on-selling it to someone instead of using it myself. Even though I bought it on sale, it was still very pricey, and dare-I-say ‘not worth the price’!? Certainly, if I had felt the fabric in-person I would not have sprung for it.
