As part of MMMay in 2019 and 2020, I’ve set various goals for myself- this year, I’m wondering what I can do to challenge myself!
Last year to celebrate MMMay I founded FatSewing.Club (and the @fatsewing.club instagram account) where I could share fat makers sharing under the MMMayPlus hashtag, which I had kick-started the year before.
Above, are some pictures from my daily photographs from MMMay last year. I really didn’t want to make a lot of work for myself, and we were in lockdown at the time, so I wasn’t leaving the house or wearing shoes most days
I had some thoughts and ‘learnings’ about MMMay2020, which I shared on the blog and they mostly revolved around how much easier last year was, how easy it was to choose outfits without thinking about shoes, and that my clothes were fitting better and were better made as my sewing skills improved.

Leila and I chatted today on our weekly Patreon chat about our MMMay plans this year- and I’m a bit stuck on what to do that would challenge me. Most days I wear basically 100% me-made, including bralettes and undies. The only thing missing is me-made PJs, but Muna and Broad is working on a fix for that. I do still struggle with ‘fancy outfits’ but I also don’t have much need for them. Working through my UFO projects sounds very dull and I don’t even want to think about it (although it would be a great thing to do)!…
Basically, I’m at a bit of a loss for how I’ll be partaking in MMMay this year!
